Roseville officer uses stun gun in school
ROSEVILLE, Minn. - For the first time, a police officer has used a Taser to stun a student at Roseville Area High School.
The officer used the Taser on Tuesday to stun and quiet a 15-year-old girl who a school district spokeswoman said had become "very aggressive with the officer."
The student had been suspended from school Monday but returned Tuesday and "refused to leave and became unruly," school district spokeswoman Sally Latimer said.
It was the first time a Taser had been used at a school in St. Paul or Roseville since police in those cities began carrying the stun guns in schools last month.
