RRVF announces dinosaur coloring contest
The Red River Valley Fair is pleased to announce more exciting exhibits for fairgoers to enjoy. Scheduled events include the dinosaur coloring contest and dinosaur veggie animals.
"We support exhibits that are not only fun, but educational too," said Bryan Schulz, Manager of the Red River Valley Fair. "These particular exhibits are great for kids who enjoy applying their creativity and using their imaginations."
If you enjoy playing with your vegetables, creating a veggie dinosaur is the perfect competition for you. You can combine any vegetables together to create your masterpiece. Beans, grains, etc. are allowed to accent your piece of art. Pieces are due July 6, by 7 p.m., and July 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Everyone is eligible to enter.
The coloring contest is a classic archive to the Red River Valley Fair. This year's theme is "Days of the Dinosaur." Participants can download the coloring sheet from the website, retrieve it from the 2010 Premium Book, or pick one up at the Fair office. There are two age divisions: 0-5-years and 6-11-year-olds. All sheets will be on display in the Arts & Crafts Building all nine days of the fair. Deadline to enter is Wed., July 7, before 1 p.m.
