RRVF grandparent essay deadline Thursday

The Red River Valley Fair has scheduled the grandparent essay contest , and the state sanctioned tractor pedal pull.

"We like to have contests that are not only fun, but challenging too," said Bryan Schulz, Manager of the Red River Valley Fair.

Elementary students in first grade through fourth grades are eligible to enter in the grandparent essay contest. Students write a one-page essay telling us why your grandparents are great. There is no fee to register. Essays will be read on the Scheels Stage on Monday, July 11, during Senior Day.  Deadline to enter is Thursday.

The local favorite tractor pedal pull will make its return to the Red River Valley Fair Sunday, July 10, at 2 p.m. Boys and girls age 4 years old to 12 years old are welcome to pre-register or enter the day of the event. Top three in each age group is eligible to enter the North Dakota State Pedal Pull. 

The Red River Valley Fair is July 8-16, in West Fargo.
