Ruth Wolff, 83, Fargo, N.D., died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo.
Ruth Irene Zimmerman was born on December 21, 1925, to Israel and Anna (Kranzler) Zimmerman at Lehr, N.D. She grew up in Lehr, and at the age of thirteen moved with her family to Ellendale, N.D. In 1939, she was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Ellendale and graduated from Ellendale High School. In 1966, she moved to Fargo, where she resided until her death.
On August 5, 1967, she married Raymond Wolff in Fargo. She worked as a sales clerk for Kresge of Fargo from 1966 until 1970 and for Kmart of Fargo from 1970 until 1985.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Raymond, Fargo; two sons, Gary (Corina) Kuck, Hawley, Minn., Roger (Linda) Kuck, Rapid City, S.D.; one daughter, Jolene (Russell) Langness, Fargo; two stepdaughters, Jerolyn (Rodney) Lang, Klamath Falls, Ore., Carolyn (David) Dinger, Hecla, S.D.; three brothers, Eugene Zimmerman, Bismarck, N.D., James (Eileen) Zimmerman, Ellendale, N.D. and Ronald (Mary) Zimmerman, Fergus Falls, Minn.; two sisters, Esther Dietz and Luella Dietz, both Lodi, Calif.; 5 grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Israel and Anna Zimmerman, and a brother, Leo Zimmerman.
Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. in West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 29, at 10:30 in Community Baptist Church, Fargo.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery, Fargo.
