Scheels stage entertainment strong to the end

The Red River Valley Fair Scheels Entertainment finishes the week out strong with a full slate of performers Thursday, July 14, through Saturday, July 16, including: the Sarah Rowell, Morgan Senger and Alyssa Manning trio, Coolie, FM Celebrity Eating Relay, FM Square Dancers, Alyana Jaye, Ken-C, Moorhead Dojo and Raven Darkcloud.

Starting off Thursday is the singing trio Rowell, Senger, and Manning, followed by hip-hop newcomer, Coolie. A new eating relay contest will feature area "celebrities" in a three-legged eating contest. The FM Square Dancers will close out the night.

Hip-hop artist, Coolie, will entertain on Friday, followed by singer Alaya Jaye of East Grand Forks, and R & B artist Ken-C. The Moorhead Dojo will be the concluding act.

Raven Darkcloud will begin the final day of the Fair with his blues style of music.  Following Darkcloud will be the trio Rowell, Senger and Manning, with Alaya Jaye closing out the 2011 Scheels Stage.

The Scheels Stage will also be home to a variety of other activities full of excitement ranging from a senior spelling bee, martial arts, to the 4-H Fashion Show.

Scheduled to be part of the action from Monday, July 11, through Wednesday, July 13, are: Albert Mikesh, a Senior Citizen Spelling Bee, Grandparent Essay Reading, 4-H Fashion Revue, Penny & Pals, Danno's Karaoke, Northwest Martial Arts, trio Sarah Rowell, Morgan Senger and Alyssa Manning, Connie Hill, plus the North Dakota Teen Challenge.

"The talent on the Scheels Stage is phenomenal," said Jodi Buresh, Assistant General Manager of the Red River Valley Fair.  "It's wonderful to see people be on a stage performing in front of an audience. The talent is becoming stronger and stronger."
