Scovill promoted to sergeant first class

Bryce Scovill, of West Fargo, has been promoted to the rank of sergeant first class in the 191st Military Police Company.

Scovill has been a member of the North Dakota Army National Guard for almost 14 years. In 2002, he deployed to Iraq for 15 months as a food service specialist with Headquarters Support Company of the 142nd Engineer Combat Battalion.

Scovill is now the food operations noncommissioned officer-in-charge for the 191st Military Police Company and is responsible for training the lower enlisted food service soldiers. He works closely with the command staff of the 191st to coordinate meals for the troops. During drill weekends, Scovill supervises the cooks and soldiers assigned kitchen duties.
