According to a statement from the Grand Forks office:

"Severe thunderstorms may develop over portions of northeast North Dakota this afternoon and tonight, then move into western Minnesota thereafter. Some storms may contain large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes this afternoon and evening.

"Heavy rainfall will also be possible this afternoon and overnight near any storms, with the biggest threat for localized flooding in northeast North Dakota into northwest Minnesota.

"Another round of strong to severe storms is possible on Friday and Saturday as a cold front and potent upper level disturbance move through the region."
