Snowmobile Safety Courses scheduled

The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department is scheduling Snowmobile Youth Safety Courses at several locations in the upcoming months including a session on Saturday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Veterans Memorial Arena, 1201 7th Ave. E., West Fargo; and a second on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at The Depot, 701 Main Ave., Fargo; and on Saturday, Jan. 8, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Park Shelter in Reiles Acres, 4635 35th Ave. N.

Youth ages 12 and older who do not possess a valid driver's license must attend a snowmobile safety class and pass a written exam in order to legally operate a snowmobile on any land not owned or leased by the child's parent or guardian.

Pre-registration is required and can be made by calling the Registration Hotline at 701-328-5348. A $20 fee is charged for the course.
