Stanke crowned Miss Rodeo
Sam Stanke, of rural West Fargo, was crowned Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2011 Sunday, Oct. 10, at the Badland Circuit Finals Rodeo in Minot. She is the 21-year-old daughter of Greg and Shannan Stanke.
Stanke competed in the Miss Rodeo North Dakota Pageant as Miss Rodeo N.D. Winter Show 2010, and won the personality, appearance and speech awards. After traveling to rodeos around the state as well as nation wide in the next year, she will compete for the title of Miss Rodeo America in Las Vegas in December of 2011 at the National Circuit Finals Rodeo.
Stanke is a riding instructor and is also seeking local business sponsorships to fund her travels this year as she promotes the community and the sport of rodeo. She is available for speaking, educating, and advertising engagements as well.
