Stromberg named Student of Month
Faye Stromberg, a senior at West Fargo High School, has been named West Fargo Exchange Club Student of the Month for September. She has maintained a 3.85 grade point average and is the daughter of Bob and Kim Stromberg of West Fargo.
As a student at West Fargo High, Stromberg has been active in a number of areas, including serving as president of the Junior Class and of the Prom Committee during the 2010-2011 year and student body president as well as student ambassador for the Fill the Dome Planning Committee, both for the present school year.
She is also a two-year member of the National Honor Society, and is active in Friends of Rachel, and the French Club, ranking fifth in the state for the National French Exam. She has also been a band officer for three years (president two years, secretary one year), earned two state stars and one regional star at state music festival, been involved with pit orchestra keyboard and percussion for the WFHS winter musical for three years, took piano lessons for ten years and taught for three years, and has helped out with MSUM Lake Agassiz Band when needed.
She has also been a member of the Fargo Moorhead Area Youth Symphony for three years (first chair percussionist for two years), is active in the handbell choir at church, youth group and teaching Sunday School, has helped sandbag for three years, and has taken AP Biology, U.S. History, and sophomore, junior and senior English
Stromberg's future plans include attending a four-year degree college, but yet undecided about what major to pursue.
