They were hoping for a repeat as champions, but Bismarck wouldn't let it happen.

Despite hindrance from North Dakota's No. 1 team, however, West Fargo still managed to have an epic showing during last week's state wrestling tournament at the FargoDome.

For starters, the Packers placed third in the team duals, beating Fargo South 50-17 in the final bout. Then, West Fargo finished second for the weekend with 192 points, a mere 2.5 points shy of the overall-winning Demons.
