Auditions are open to all area performers and musicians ages 15-20.

"A Chorus Line" is the Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical about dancers auditioning for spots in the ensemble of a Broadway-bound musical. The audition takes a personal turn as they are asked to reveal their individual ambitions and insecurities - ranging from funny to wrenching - as they struggle to impress a demanding director in the audition of their lifetime.

"A Chorus Line" is the musical for every musical theater enthusiast, and for those who love them.

Memorable musical numbers include: I Can Do That, At the Ballet, Dance: Ten; Looks: Three, The Music and the Mirror, What I Did for Love, One (Singular Sensation) and I Hope I Get It.

The play is a brilliantly complex fusion of dance, song and compelling drama. The show was instantly recognized as a classic upon its debut and subsequent 6137 performance original Broadway run.

Rehearsals will be on a four-day schedule from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. beginning July 9 and concluding Aug. 5. Four performances of A Chorus Line are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 2-4, and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 5. A brief strike will follow the last performance.

Summer Arts Intensive is made possible through collaboration with the West Fargo Public Schools. Its mission is to further develop the personal and artistic talents of emerging young artists as they gain a comprehensive understanding of theatre production and performance, as led by arts educators and professionals committed to quality and individualized training in a positive and supportive educational environment.
