Support sought to help the Fetzer family this holiday season
Many of you might recall the heart-breaking story of seven year-old Mikey Fetzer who died in June of this year from injuries sustained in a vehicle-pedestrian accident. In the ultimate story of giving and gratitude, Mikey's organs were donated so that six others would live.
The staff at Healing Touch Chiropractic is acknowledging the amazing gift of life given by Mikey and his family, and asking everyone to also do the same by supporting the Fetzer family during the holiday season. The hospital bills and loss of Mikey has taken a toll on the family in every way. Consequently, gift cards to Target, Toys R Us, Barnes and Noble, West Acres and Best Buy are being sought to be donated to the Fetzer family.
"Each holiday season, we are choosing to help a less fortunate family - one of our 'Pay it Forward' missions," said Dr. Tiffany Johnson. "When hearing about the Fetzer family last summer, my heart broke to imagine my life without one of our children, or anyone we love for that matter. We want to bring the community together to show them that love and support is all around them in this difficult time of life."
Donations will be accepted now through Dec. 12, 2011, and can be dropped off or mailed to: Healing Touch Chiropractic, 45 21st Ave E, Unit D, West Fargo, N.D., 58078.
