A patrol officer attempted to stop the vehicle at 2:23 a.m. in the 2200 block of Main Avenue East for speeding and suspicion of driving under the influence, according to the West Fargo Police Department.

The driver refused to stop, and police pursued the vehicle into Fargo, traveling south on 42nd Street. Speeds during the pursuit ranged from 40 to 80 mph, and one West Fargo police car got a flat tire, the news release said.

The vehicle eventually stopped in the 4100 block of 42nd Street South.

The driver, Katie Hughes, 22, of Fargo, was arrested on suspicion of fleeing police, reckless endangerment and DUI.
