Swim team runners-up in EDC Championship

The Packer swim team had a strong outing in Saturday’s Eastern Dakota Conference Championship at Davies High School, scoring 404.5 points as a team but ultimately finishing second behind Fargo North’s 461 points.

West Fargo took first in three events, with senior Ethan Doll playing a role in all of them. He finished first as an individual in both the 50 freestyle (with a time of 55.63) and the 200 individual medley (2:06.67). He also took first in the 200 medley relay as part of a team that included sophomores Carson Keller, Stephen Hulbert and Jarod Smith with a time of 1:42.97.

The North Dakota State Swimming and Diving Championship begins on Friday at 12:30 p.m. at the Bismarck State College Aquatic and Wellness Center.
