Swimming wins first meet of season
The West Fargo boys' swim team began its season on Friday with a victory, topping the Fargo Davies Eagles 107-78.
The Packers got individual victories from Matt Montplaisir (200 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle), Ethan Doll (200 Medley, 100 Butterfly), Cole Holoien (100 Freestyle) and Stephen Hulbert (100 Breaststroke).
The team also earned victories in the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays.
The 200 Freestyle team consisted of Holoien, Jacob Nygaard, Jarod Smith and Montplaisir, while the 400 Freestyle team consisted of Montplaisir, Holoien, Carson Keller and Doll.
Kyle Holoien also finished second in the one-meter diving competition with a score of 144.55.
The team's next event will take place on Friday, when they will host the Moorhead Spuds for a 5:30 p.m. meet.
