Triple C 4-H Club hosts annual horse show
The Triple C 4-H Club conducted its annual horse show at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds a little later this year on Father's Day weekend. The event is typically held around Mother's Day, but it was postponed in order to let the Sheyenne Red River Rodeo Club host its high school rodeo in May which had to be delayed because of the flooding situation.
The Triple C horse show featured 37 different classes ranging from western to English to gaming events. The show on June 21 had 327 entries, up approximately 50 from last year.
This event is planned annually by the Triple C club, a predominantly horse oriented 4-H club that was established over 35 years ago in West Fargo. Andrew Hindrichs of Fergus Falls served as judge for the show.
Besides planning the horse show, the club also took on the task of power washing the horse show arena at the fairgrounds. During two evenings leading up to the show, the club spent 80 plus people hours cleaning the facility using three power washers, and several hoses, brooms and scrub brushes.
One of the nice things about the show and the club is that many of the present members also had relatives in the club once, and several of them usually come back, especially for this show, which is filled with memories of laughter and good times.
