Triumph West to host picnic at future church site

The parking lot has been paved, and construction has begun on Triumph West Lutheran Brethren's new church, located at 3745 Sheyenne St., across from Eagle Run. To celebrate, members of Triumph West are hosting a neighborhood picnic at the construction site on Sunday, July 19, beginning at 12 noon, with free hot dogs and root beer floats for everyone.

An Intro to Tennis class will also be offered during the event, featuring Haley Horning Shibley, regional representative for the U.S. Tennis Association. Tennis equipment will be furnished and all ages are invited to participate in the tennis clinic.

Rev. Vern Baardson is excited about the progress being made on the new Triumph West campus building project. The new church facility is scheduled to open its doors by Thanksgiving.
