The victim was jogging on the bike path in Rendezvous Park past a female walking a black Labrador retriever and a smaller, gold-colored dog when the Lab lunged and bit the victim in the left knee, police said in a news release.

Police need to obtain the vaccination records for the dog. Anyone with information about it is asked to call police at (701) 433-5500.

In a separate incident Wednesday, a female was jogging at 8:15 p.m. in the 4200 block of Ninth Street West when she was bit by what was described as a white dog with black spots, possibly a boxer/bulldog mix. The owner of that dog has been located, police said.

Police reminded pet owners to keep their pets on a leash and the general public to be cautious of other people's pets.
