A benefit will be held for Kim Schreiner, who is awaiting a lung transplant.

Lend A Hand will be hosting a benefit for Schreiner at 5 p.m. on April 11 at the Horace Senior Center and will include dinner, auctions, raffles and live music.

Schreiner was diagnosed with interstitial lung disease in June, a direct result of being diagnosed with lupus 17 years ago, and is in need of a bilateral lung transplant.

Donations can be made payable to Kim Schreiner Benefit at Kindred State Bank, 411 Elm Street, Kindred, ND 58051.

Lend A Hand is hosting a second benefit this month for the Gietzen family. Raphael and Nicole Gietzen’s infant daughter, Odessa, was born with a double outlet right ventricle, and has already endured an open-heart surgery and an extended stay in the neonatal intensive-care unit at the Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis.

A spaghetti supper will be held on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Fargo.

Donations can be sent to Bell State Bank and Trust, C/O Gietzen Family Benefit Fund, 3100 13th Ave. South, Fargo, ND 58103.
