UPDATE: 12-year-old treated, released after vehicle, bicycle accident

A 12-year-old child involved in an accident Wednesday was treated and released from Sanford Medical Center, a spokesperson for the West Fargo Police Department said.

Police responded to a vehicle-bicycle accident Wednesday, June 29, around 12:30 p.m. at the 500 block of Sheyenne Street in West Fargo, near Stars and Strikes Bowling Alley.

The vehicle, driven by Jason Hauf, 38, of Dilworth, was southbound on Sheyenne Street when the child, riding his bicycle eastbound, pulled out in front of it.

The child was taken by ambulance to Sanford Medical Center, where he later was released.

The driver of the vehicle was not cited.
