The two construction workers were working in the raised basket of a platform jack when the equipment tipped over just after 10 a.m., said West Fargo police Lt. Duane Sall.

The men are employed by Fagen Inc., a subcontractor working on upgrades to the Monsanto facility at 304 Center St., where the accident occurred.

The extent of the men's injuries wasn't immediately known but likely involved broken bones. They were transported to a local hospital, Sall said.

Follow-up investigations into the accident are likely to occur by Fagen and the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, Sall said.

Monsanto is in the process of expanding its West Fargo facility and converting it from a soybean seed distribution facility into an Asgrow soybean seed production facility.
