Volleyball wins two straight matches

The Packers had a strong week on the road, beating Wahpeton 3-1 (25-23, 25-18, 23-25, 25-23) on Tuesday night before topping Fargo South 3-1 (25-10, 18-25, 25-19, 25-17) on Thursday.

Junior Amanda Levin was the model of consistency last week, tallying 17 kills in each match. She also got two aces in Tuesday's match and three in Thursday's.

Senior Andrea Klug also had an impressive week, adding a staggering 85 assists between the two matches, 45 on Tuesday and 45 on Thursday.

Christina Bruenjes chipped in 12 kills in the first match and nine in the second, and Courtney Suppa totaled 14 kills in the first match and six in the second.

The Packers move to 16-11 on the season and 9-4 in the Eastern Dakota Conference. They have three regular-season matches left, but do not have one until they host the Fargo South Bruins next Thursday, Oct. 25.
