West Fargo businesses fail tobacco compliance checks
Tobacco City, 901 Main Ave. E., and Eagle Run Crossing, 3210 Sheyenne St., were among West Fargo and Fargo businesses failing tobacco compliance checks on Aug. 17, conducted by the West Fargo and Fargo Police Departments, with assistance from Fargo Cass Public Health.
The group checked 68 businesses with tobacco licenses in Fargo and West Fargo. Out of those checked, eight failed in Fargo and two failed in West Fargo.
Those failing in Fargo included: Stop-N-Go #410, 602 23 St. S.; Ted's Northport Conoco, 2740 N. Broadway; Stop-N-Go #422, 3220 12 Ave. N.; CVS Pharmacy #8612, 2401 13 Ave. S.; Stop-N-Go #436, 204 42 St. S.; Hornbacher's, 1532 32 Ave. S.; Mills Gas Mart, 3730 36 St. S.; and Fargo South Pointe, 3202 33 St. S.
Penalties are: the first failure in a one year time period, one year probation; second failure in a one year time period, 72 hours suspension of the tobacco license; and the third failure in a one year time period, a ten day suspension of the tobacco license.
