Standing Rock tribe officially asks protesters to clear out

West Fargo officer injured at traffic crash scene

West Fargo Police Officer Jason Anderson was hurt when his marked patrol vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle exiting I-94 at Sheyenne Street in West Fargo, Nov. 30, at 8:38 a.m.

Anderson had just returned to his vehicle when it was struck. He was transported to Sanford Emergency Center by FM Ambulance where he was treated for a minor concussion and rib injury before being released. Anderson's emergency lights were activated at the time of the crash.

The other driver, Makayla Mieling, 21, Fargo was cited for operating a motor vehcile without due care. A brief shower of freezing rain had fallen prior to the crash causing area roadways to be extremely slippery. Speed was a factor in the crash. No alcohol was involved.
