West Fargo Police issue 57 citations during statewide campaign

The West Fargo Police Department participated in the statewide Click or Ticket Campaign held Nov. 11 to Nov. 19, issuing fifty-seven traffic citations and eleven warnings. Twenty-seven of the citations were for seatbelt violations and eighteen were for speeding.

During the event, officers worked additional patrol shifts targeting motor vehicle occupant restraint violations, logging 41 overtime hours.

Funding for the program is provided through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and coordinated by the North Dakota Department of Transportation. A second campaign will occur during March 2012.
