A broken wire resulted in more than 2,500 people losing power about 4:30 p.m. in West Fargo, according to the Cass County Electric Cooperative.

Power was restored to all cooperative members by 5:55 p.m.

Cooperative officials confirmed today that the outage was due to the 32nd Avenue construction project. Crews were beginning to install box culverts in the Sheyenne River when an electrical wire was damaged.
