West Fargo road closures announced
The City of West Fargo will be closing Sheyenne Street soon, but not before first opening 32nd Avenue East back to traffic.
Sheyenne Street is slated to be closed to thru traffic from Interstate 94 to 32nd Ave East, in order to install large-diameter storm sewer force main.
This closure was scheduled for Monday, Nov. 14, and reopening to traffic the afternoon of Nov. 18. Message boards have been installed to notifying the public of the closure. Detour signs will be installed before the closure for directing traffic.
Primary detour will send traffic south to Veteran's Boulevard.
As for the 32nd Avenue East closure, the contractor has had further delays, thus missing their proposed Monday reopening. They worked through the weekend, and intended to pave Monday, allowing for a late opening to traffic either Tuesday or today.
So as far as the Sheyenne Street closure, the city will not allow this until 32nd Avenue is open.
Ninth Street Northeast road closure
BNSF Railway has requested the closure of West Fargo's Ninth Street NE between Main Avenue East and Seventh Avenue NE, beginning on Nov. 14.
It will be closed for approximately one week.
The purpose of the closure is to reconstruct the existing railroad crossing.
