West Fargo Schools' Future Building Advisory Committee meetings to begin tonight
A series of advisory committee meetings will begin tonight (Wednesday, Feb. 18) to help get public input on future building projects being planned by the West Fargo School District. Meetings have been scheduled for the next six Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Leidal Education Center boardroom. According to Superintendent Dana Diesel Wallace, the district office has received 116 responses from people in the community interested in being part of the advisory committee.
The West Fargo School Board's Planning and Development Committee has been discussing long-range building plans over the past year, trying to come up with a comprehensive plan that will address the district's need for additional space at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. At tonight's meeting, Wallace plans to summarize the planning process that the district has gone through up to this point, and ask for feedback from members of the newly formed Future Building Advisory Committee.
Anyone interested in sitting in on the sessions is welcome to attend. Dates for the Future Building Advisory Committee meetings are February 18, February 25, March 4, March 11, March 18, and March 25. The Leidal Education Center is located at 207 West Main Ave., West Fargo.
