West Fargo sets public meetings on school bond vote
Two public meetings are planned for West Fargo School District residents to learn about an $82.5 million school bond package that will go to voters May 24.
The first meeting will be at 7 p.m. April 27 in the West Fargo High School theater, located at 801 9th St. E.
The second meeting will be at 7 p.m. May 19 in the commons of Sheyenne Ninth Grade Center, 800 40th Ave. E.
District officials will present information on demographics and facilities needs, as well as input from the Long Range Facility Planning Task Force and six other public input meetings.
If approved, the bonds would be used to build a new middle school, turn the Sheyenne center into a second high school, build an elementary school immediately and a second as needed, and create a ninth-grade wing in the current high school.
This is the third straight time that a bond will be going to a public vote. The two previous bond votes failed.
