The district was informed Wednesday night by the family of Tessa Miller that she had died and that her body was on life support in preparation for organ donation, said Community Relations Coordinator Heather Konschak.

Konschak said the Miller family did not share the cause or circumstances of their daughter's death and that information on funeral arrangements was not yet available.

Konschak said counselors were brought in from other schools to help students and staff at the high school.

"It was a very emotional, very tough day at West Fargo High School today. Our staff did a great job," Konschak said."

"On behalf of the entire district and the school board, Superintendent Dr. David Flowers and the high school leadership team would like to offer their condolences to the family and friends of Tessa Miller," a district news release stated.
