West Fargo VFW, Auxiliary host Iraq Veterans Appreciation event
West Fargo VFW Post 7564 and Ladies Auxiliary are hosting an appreciation night for Iraq War Veterans at their Post home, 308 Sheyenne St., on Wednesday, Feb. 29, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. All Iraq veterans and their families are invited to attend and enjoy free pizza and beer and pop at the Club's lower level. RSVP to Joann Czerwinski at 701 451-6090 by Monday, Feb. 27 so the Post has an attendance count. Anyone planning to attend is asked to pass the word about the event to all Iraq veterans.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, with its Auxiliaries, includes 2.2 million members in approximately 8,100 Posts worldwide. Its mission is to "honor the dead by helping the living" through veterans' service, community service, national security and a strong national defense.
Post 7564 and Ladies Auxiliary has been honored several times with a National Community Service Award. They welcome all combat veterans and wives, daughters and mothers of veterans that served in combat to join the organization. There are many benefits for members of the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary.
