The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. with the raising of colors outside the clubrooms, conducted by a member of the VFW and ROTC, and a boy scout.

Those attending will then move indoors for a special program that will begin with a second Color Guard flag presentation conducted by the West Fargo AMVETS Post No. 8. The West Fargo High School Band will provide the music.

The program will continue with an address by Guest Speaker Jim Hapala, VFW Commander for the Department of North Dakota, also a longstanding West Fargo VFW member who has served in every capacity.

Following Hapala's presentation, activity will continue throughout the afternoon, accented by free stew for everyone, with serving to begin around 4 p.m., and additional entertainment by the Red River Valley Concert Band performing around 7 p.m.

The morning program is open to all ages, but once the program is over, the activities will be for those age 21 and older only.

Doors at the West Fargo VFW will open at 10 a.m. and remain open until 1 a.m.

The Harwood American Legion will also be observing Veterans Day with complimentary beef stew served from 2 to 5 p.m. or until it's all gone. Veterans will also be treated to reduced price drinks, and a two for the price of one hamburger special will be offered in the evening.

Located at 101 Benefit Lane, the Legion will be open from noon to 1 a.m.
