Western gives back through donations, volunteer efforts
Western State Bank exemplifies the company's vision and values by investing and volunteering in the communities it serves. In 2009, the West Fargo and Fargo locations of Western contributed nearly $40,000 in charitable donations while employees volunteered over 2,170 hours of their time to 35 different area organizations in the West Fargo and Fargo communities.
Some of the organizations Western employees volunteered their time to include: The United Way of Cass-Clay, Minn-Kota Red Cross, Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity, Meals on Wheels, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Cass County Housing Authority, Red River Valley Fair, West Fargo Chamber of Commerce, West Fargo Economic Advisory Committee, West Fargo Exchange Club, Fargo Optimist Club, Horace Lions, Women of Today, West Fargo Packer Backers, West Fargo Baseball Association, FM Humane Society, West Fargo Schools, a variety of Fargo and West Fargo sports organizations, and numerous churches.
