Western State Bank promotes three, hires one
Western State Bank has recently promoted Chad Baldock, Dave Roeder and Mark Jensen to new positions, as well as hired Sue Olson.
Olson is originally from Bottineau, N.D., and currently resides in West Fargo, with her husband. She has two children and two grandchildren.
Baldock was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President/Credit Officer – Team Lead. He will co-manage the Credit Department which underwrites commercial loans for all seven bank locations and Western Equipment Finance. Baldock has been with Western since 2008, serving as a Credit Analyst and Credit Officer in the Credit Department.Originally from Mayville, N.D., Baldock earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Mayville State University, Mayville, N.D., with a minor in accounting and specializations in real estate, finance and management. He holds his Masters Degree from the University of Mary, Fargo, ND. Baldock graduated from the Dakota School of Banking in 2013. He currently resides in Fargo, ND.Roeder was recently promoted to Assistant Vice President/Credit Officer – Team Lead. He will co-manage the Credit Department which underwrites commercial loans for all seven bank locations and Western Equipment Finance. He has over 10 years of banking experience. Roeder has been with Western since 2003, serving in several roles at the bank, spending the last eight years as a Credit Analyst, Business Banking Officer and Credit Officer.Originally from Milnor, N.D., Roeder earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and graduated from the Dakota School of Banking in 2009. Dave has served as an Ambassador of Public Relations for The Chamber of Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo for the past nine years. He and his wife currently reside in West Fargo.Jensen was recently promoted to Vice President/Credit Risk Officer, at Western State Bank. In this role, his focus will be on measuring the level of credit risk within the company and working to improve processes to recognize and manage those risks. In this capacity, he will also oversee the company’s Credit Review function. Jensen has nearly 20 years of banking experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, training and credit review. He has been with Western since 2006.Originally from Dickinson, N.D., Jensen graduated with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business Administration and Economics from North Dakota State University, Fargo. He also earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from North Dakota State University. Jensen serves as a board member for both the American Red Cross and the Risk Management Association (RMA), and is also an active volunteer with Junior Achievement. He and his wife currently reside in Fargo, ND, with their four daughters.
