Western State Bank supports the Great Plains Food Bank

Western State Bank recently donated $1,600 to the Great Plains Food Bank. Western State Bank sponsored "Pizza for a Purpose" on August 15 at the bank's Fargo location in the Western Center next to Target to earn funds for the Great Plains Food Bank. Free-will donations were received and matched dollar-for-dollar from Western. Hundreds of people attended theevent and made generous donations.

The mission of the Great Plains Food Bank is to end hunger through community partnerships. They assist those in need through the statewide network of 280 member food shelves, emergency shelters, soup kitchens, children's back pack food programs, and other charitable feeding programs in 100 communities.

"The Great Plains Food Bank relies on a variety of resources to help fight the hunger battle in our community. The money raised will help many families during times of need. The Great Plains Food Bank plays an important role in keeping local communities healthy and we encourage others to help this great organization," said Brad Jacobson, President of Western State Bank.
