WF bridge on 32nd Avenue South opens
WEST FARGO - Another major traffic artery is open in our community.
The 32nd Avenue South bridge off Sheyenne Street in West Fargo is now open.
The construction project has been fraught with problems because of the instability of the soil around the bridge site.
Plans were to have the bridge open in time for the start of school.
In an interview with WDAY Radio News, Mayor Rich Mattern says despite the fact there is still some work to do there planting grass and so on, he's very pleased the bridge is finally open.
Mattern says he expects the new bridge and roadway - combined with the new Ninth Street South interchange - will spur further West Fargo development south of Interstate 94.
