WF elementary schools name Geographic Bee finalists

After successfully completing the Geographic Bee written exam at the school level, two students from West Fargo won the right to participate in the State Geographic Bee.

South Elementary's Arjun Srivatsa and Eastwood Elementary's Brady Boll both received first-place honors.

These two students, along with 98 other winners, will represent their schools at the North Dakota Geographic Bee in Bismarck. The State Bee will be held Friday, April 9, at Gustin Hall on the University of Mary campus.

They will be divided into five 20-student groups, and will have to answer a series of mostly oral questions. The ten students with the top scores will move on to the finals. A tiebreaker will be held if necessary. Only those participating in the tiebreaker round will be allowed into this event.
