Fargo specials vote means tax cuts, refunds for some property owners

West Fargo girls soccer players placed high in the Tri-City Tournament held June 27-28 in Fargo and Moorhead.

The Fargo Soccer Club’s U13 Menace team took the championship by defeating Tri-City 13 1-0 and allowing only four goals in five games, said coach Kelvin Daniels.

The Menace team consists of 60 percent West Fargo players, he said.

U14 Sheyenne United finished second, losing 3-2 to Tri-City in the final game. The team consists of 85 percent West Fargo players.

FSC U17 Girls Fusion won its final game 5-1 over Grand Forks. The team consists of players from West Fargo, Fargo, Moorhead and Grand Forks.

FSC U11 Girls Strikers, with three West Fargo players, placed second, falling

3-2 to Edina.

“The girls performed very well. The conditions were horrific,” said Daniels, with rain and winds sometimes gusting from 35 to 40 miles per hour.
