WF KOC names winners for Soccer Challenge

The West Fargo Knights of Columbus held their second annual Soccer Challenge at the Scheels Soccer Complex in West Fargo, on Oct. 5. The contest was geared for area girls and boys ages 10-14.

Ten girls and 18 boys participated from a variety of local schools.

West Fargo schools included South, LE Berger and Westside Elementary, Cheney and Stem Center Middle Schools and Sheyenne Ninth Grade. Fargo schools Holy Spirit and Nativity Catholic Elementary, Sullivan Centennial Middle Schools, and Moorhead's St. Joseph's Catholic School also participated.

Winners in the girls division were: Savannah Carlson, 10, Local, District, Region and Second at State. Mackenzie Watson, 11, Local, District and Second at Region. Megan Zander, 11, Local, District, Region and Second at State. Taylor Schmidt, 12, Local, District, Region and State. Savana Thomason, 14, Local, District, Region and State.

Winners in the boys division were: Luke Noah, 10, Local, District, Region and State. Menkeh Mehdin, 11, Local. Jared Weninger, 11, District, Region and State. Bennett Benson, 12, Local, District, Region and State. Nick Watson, 13, Local, District, Region and State. Santi Tuyisenge, 14, Local. Andrew M. Sather, 14, District, Region and State.
