W.F. man charged in Moorhead chase

A West Fargo man faces charges in Clay County District Court after a chase in Moorhead.

According to court records:

At around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, a Moorhead police officer attempted to stop a white van that had no license plates.

The vehicle took evasive maneuvers and drove away at a high rate of speed.

The officer lost sight of the vehicle in the 1300 block of Second Avenue South, but it was later found parked in the 1300 block of Sixth Avenue South.

A man spotted near the van took off running, but officers later encountered a person matching the suspect's description, and the man was taken into custody.

Joshua Michael Rietsema, 26, faces charges of fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, second-degree DWI, driving after revocation and careless driving.
