In an e-mail sent out Monday evening, West Fargo School District Executive Assistant Heather Leas said the selection of the new superintendent will occur "Friday, April 30, immediately following final candidate interview."

The board will complete their final candidate interview at the Hilton Garden Inn, adjourn for 10-15 minutes, and reconvene at the Leidal Education Center. This should be between 9:30 and 9:45 a.m. Friday, April 30.

The school board will hold a meeting, open to the public, to discuss the three remaining candidates: former Fargo superintendent and current Hutchinson (Kan.) Superintendent David Flowers, Perham-Dent (Minn.) Superintendent Tamara Uselman and West Fargo Assistant Superintendent Louise Dardis. At that time, the board will take into account its own interviews, as well as input gathered from the three public meetings held for each candidate.

As long as the chosen candidate accepts the offer presented by the board, Leas said, the process should be over.

Dr. Wallace, who came to West Fargo in 2006, announced her resignation in December, effective June 30. Her successor is expected to begin work July 1, with a salary between $140,000 and $160,000.
