WF students take first at SkillsUSA competition
Two West Fargo High School students will advance to national-level competition after placing first in their categories at the recent SkillsUSA state competition.
Tucker Bucholz and Jesse Suppa placed first in the cabinetry and motorcycle service technology categories, respectively.
Other West Fargo students earning high honors at the state competition are Garrett Irwin, second place in motorcycle service technology, and William Barker, third in power equipment technology. Advisors were Bob Bjornson and Jerry Nordstrom.
The SkillsUSA state competition was held April 22-24 in Bismarck. SkillsUSA is a student organization under in the Career and Technical Education field, as governed by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. Skillsusa includes trade classes such as welding, carpentry, automotive, recreational engines, and health careers.
The National Leadership and Skills Conference will be June 23-27 in Kansas City, Mo.
