Winners named for Winter Days competition

Winners have been announced for the full slate of Winter Days competitive events that occurred throughout the observance held Jan. 16 through Jan. 26 at various locations throughout the community.
They include:
Silver Snowflake Search: Silver Snowflake A, found by Dan, Chasity, Solveig and Haakon Seymour at Elmwood Park; Silver Snowflake B, found by Jack and Gunner Endres at Shadow Wood Park;
Silver Snowflake C, found by Melissa Moellenkamp at Rendezvous Park; Silver Snowflake D, found by Lindsey Held at Tintes Park; and Silver Snowflake E, found by Mitchell Janssen at Armour Park.
Winter Days Photo Contest: Best Youth Action/ Activity Photo (Summer) - Robin Smith-Masog; Best Youth Action/Activity Action (Winter) - Heather O’Donnell; Best Scenic Park Photo (Spring/Summer) - Dave Stark; Best Scenic Park Photo (Fall/Winter) - Dave Stark; and Most Creative Photo - Alecs Peters.
Snow Golf Tournament: Woman’s Division, first place, Judy Markel and Barb Sinner; Men’s Division, first place, Mike Lee.
Chili Cook Off: first place, Mary Vogel; second place, Roger Manske; third place, Shawn McCarthy.
Salsa Contest: first place, Tanya Schmidt; second place, Mike Carlson; third place, Mary Vogel.
Minute to Win It: Mike Manske
“Create Your Own Winter Scene” Coloring Contest: Preschool - Chloe O’Donnell, Kindergarten - Carter Punt, 1st Grade - Miranda Halverson, 2nd Grade - Kayla Kuechle, 3rd Grade - Rayna Hermanson.
Word Search: Sandy Johnson.
Each of the winners received respective prizes as outlined before the start of each compeition. The West Fargo Park District promotes the annual Winter Days celebration and its related activities.
