Arlo O. Stalvik

Arlo O. Stalvik, 66, Loves Park, Ill., died on Friday, July 16, 2010 in his home surrounded by family members.

Arlo was born January 16, 1944 in Cooperstown, N.D., the son of Oscar and Marvel (Pittenger) Stalvik. Arlo graduated from West Fargo High School in 1964.

He married Nancy Olson on January 18, 1969, in Rockford, Ill.

Arlo was employed at GKN as a machinist for 42 years. He was an avid bowler, enjoyed camping and family outings.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughters, Shari Cox; Laurie (Paul) Matthews; grandchildren, Nicole, Josh, Haley, Ashley and Connor. Great-grandchildren, Hannah and Jayden His mother, Marvel; four sisters, Sandra (Clayton) Rivenes; Bonnie (Norman) Scott; Cheryl (Dennis) Delamater; Janell (Marty) Schweitzer; One brother, Oscar

Arlo was preceded in death by his father, Oscar; a sister, Marlene (Donald) Koski; a grandson, Kyle Cox; two nieces, Renae Delamater and Stephanie Schweitzer

Services were held in Rockford, Ill. Burial was in Scandinavian Cemetery.
