Way to go Tyler. Good article-As for Becky's comment. Just one more example from someone who lives 1500 miles away-trying to dictate as to how we should live our lives.

On reading the comments on the excellent column that Tyler wrote on coyote hunting it sure separates the tourists from the natives.

Becky, have you ever tasted coyote? In some countries it is a delicacy. You should be so ignorant to write this off as disrespect to animals. We should be so luck to have such a scrumptious animal in our own back yard. Shame on you!!

Killing just for the fun of it and to relieve cabin fever?! What have we come to? Coyotes are NOT varmints. They are the most intelligent animal in the woods. Song dogs do hunters and livestock producers a service by controlling rodents, eating the carrion and preying on the weak and sick deer to strengthen the herd. --Livestock producers should protect their young animals from all predation. Use fencing where appropriate, along with guard dogs and donkeys, not guns. Such actions are unethical and show a lack of respect for wildlife. Shame on you to proudly write about it! It's time for those of us who DO respect wildlife to speak out! Let's get some protections for the most persecuted animal in the U.S....the coyote. --To learn more about coyotes, check www.projectcoyote.org, a group of wildlife biologists who have studied these beautiful animals for decades.
