August Judisch Feb. 24, 1920 - Feb. 28, 2010

August Judisch, 90, West Fargo, died on Sunday, February 28, 2010 at Bethany Retirement Living on 42nd Street, Fargo, N.D.

August Forrest Judisch was born on February 24, 1920 to Edwin and Alice (Wagner) Judisch. He grew up on the family farm and attended school near Erie, N.D. August married Mary Marjorie Griebstein on April 8, 1947 at Page, N.D. They made their home near Hunter, N.D. where they farmed until retiring in the early 1980’s. At that time, they moved into Hunter and in 2002, they moved to West Fargo.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed farming, gardening and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; three daughters, Judith (Duane) Hodges, Fargo, Candace (John) Zidon, Bondurant, Iowa, Roxann (Mark) Kristensen, South Jordan, Utah; one son, Todd (Mary) Judisch, Winona, Minn.; nine grandchildren, Bryan Hodges, Terese (Jason) Lee, Leah (Kenneth) Stroud, Megan Zidon, Cassady Kristensen, Carissa Kristensen, Hannah Judisch, August Judisch, Abraham Judisch; two great grandchildren, Ameliya Kristensen,  Khalan Lee; four siblings, Evelyn Smith, Atwater, Calif., Marvin Judisch, Arthur, N.D., Lois (Ray) Frost, Hunter, N.D. and Robert (Helen) Judisch, Erie, N.D.

August was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Matthew Kristensen.

Visitation is Friday, March 5, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the West Funeral Home, West Fargo.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Arthur, N.D. Final Resting Place will be the Hunter Cemetery.
