Don't mess with something if it's not broken.

That's the path promoters of the highly successful West Fargo Cruise Night are continuing to follow as they rev up for their fourth annual season kick-off event tomorrow evening (Thursday, June 20), from 5 to 9 p.m.

Hundreds of classic automobiles are expected to line Sheyenne Street from Main to Seventh Avenue with a motorcycle coral also featured on Third Avenue between Payroll Express and the Silver Dollar Bar from Sheyenne Street to the alley.

The city of West Fargo and the Fargo-Moorhead Toppers Car Club are once again taking the lead role in organizing and hosting the event, which is a third Thursday of the month occurrence from June through September.

Toppers member Cody Wendelbo, said his group is happy to be a part of this highly popular happening. He noted that registration and line-up will be coordinated the same as last year. People can start parking their vehicles at 4:30 p.m., with Toppers members on hand to assist.

Free registration should be completed at the Toppers tent set up in front of the West Fargo VFW.

He points out that the west side of the roadway from Seventh Avenue to Main Street will be cordoned off for the vehicles to lineup and the front side left open but protected so spectators can walk in safety and take their time looking at the cars.

WDAY Radio personality Jay Thomas, who has also been a regular at the event, will also be returning to broadcast his afternoon show live as well as emcee throughout the evening.

Food vendors will also be plentiful positioned in the special court on the west side of 4th Avenue, including: Half time by Sheri, Romo's, the Boy Scouts, Everybody's, Santa Lucia, Tropical Snow, Perfectly Nuts, Papa Murphy's, Bronson's and Chef Mobile.

The West Fargo VFW will be offering their outside beer garden; the Ladies Auxiliary will be selling Tacos in a Bag; the post members hot dogs and burgers; as well as having their regular menu available inside.

Across the street at the Silver Dollar Bar, members of the West Fargo Fire Department will be serving pulled pork sandwiches outside, and a beer tub will be set up; while the regular menu will be featured inside, and meat raffles conducted.

To say Wendelbo is excited about the season's first Cruise Night is an understatement. "We have a great show and we want to thank all the great classic car owners in the area for supporting us and bringing their cars out to show everyone making the success of the event possible. Our goal has been to create a fun, family event centered around people's love for cars. So if you have a car bring it out, or if you just like old cars stop by and check out West Fargo Cruise Night and enjoy all the evening has to offer."

Successive Cruise Nights will be held July 18, Aug. 15, and Sept. 19.
