Delores "Dee Dee" Boes, 69, of Big Falls, Minn., died Sunday, March 30, 2008, in Bigfork, Minn.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Big Falls Community Center in Big Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Big Falls Community Center. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Big Falls. The Carroll Funeral Home of Deer River assisted the family with arrangements.

She was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Littlefork, Minn. She lived in the Littlefork/Big Falls area most of her life. She also lived in Backus for a while with her mother, Alice, and stepfather, Clyde Hall. She then moved to Big Falls, where she met James "Jim" Dale Boes Sr. They were married May 14, 1955, at the Methodist Church in Big Falls. They moved to Medford, Ore., where their son, James Jr. was born. They then moved back to Big Falls in November of 1955, and this is where they made their home. Meanwhile, she had five more children, Deby, Wanda, Dale, Susan and Terri. She was a fabulous cook and waitress for the restaurants in Big Falls. She and her husband owned and operated the Fargo Café in 1993-1994. She then retired due to knee problems. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Jimmie (Diane) Boes and Dale Boes of Big Falls; daughters, Deby (Lee) Felstet of Big Falls, Wanda (Terry) Premo and Terri (Randy) Shoberg of International Falls; sisters, Dorothy Keep of Littlefork, JoAnn (Thor) Thorson of Bemidji; brother, Gerald Anderson of Arkansas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; and several special sisters-in-law and brothers-in-laws.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Anderson and Alice Reese; stepfathers, Clyde Hall and Bernard Reese; sisters, Betty Kimball, Marylin Johnson, Gloria Black; daughter, Susan Boes; one granddaughter; one great grandson; one son-in-law; and mother-in-law and father-in law.
