Great Plains Food Bank serving meals to youth this summer in Fargo
FARGO — Great Plains Food Bank opened its youth summer meals program sites this week to provide food to hungry children.
The program runs from noon until 12:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays until Aug. 18. In Fargo, the summer meal site is at Village West Park, 4415 Ninth Ave. Circle S. The site will be closed July 3 and 4.
In North Dakota, 33,000 children qualify for and rely on free and reduced cost school lunches. The youth summer meals program helps fill the gap when school lunches are not available. For more information, visit www.greatplainsfoodbank.org.
